Attack on Supreme Court by Ruling party thugs - I ask some AL lawyers whether is it an offence to congregate at the Supreme Court premises for a political purpose? Have not AL lawyers engaged in politics on the SC premises before? In actual fact the BNP lawyers were attempting to leave the SC premises and join the Long March program but were prevented by the police with water canons. While this constitutes illegal detention the police also then opened the gates and allowed AL thugs to enter and violate the sanctity of the SC premises by beating lawyers and damaging property. Is this then not the behavior and mindset of a fascist administration? The AL lawyers should stop blaming the BNP lawyers who were merely exercising their constitutional right to freedom of speech and expression and also their right to associate .... AL lawyers should condemn the attack and submit an unconditional apology to the Supreme Court Bar Association for the disgraceful and dastardly attack on the SC, National Press Club and on DU teachers by AL thugs ... AL lawyers and supporters should now admit that we no longer live in a democracy. This is fascist dictatorial rule supported and sponsored by India.
